Sales growth together with production cost control fuels cocoa and chocolate EBITDA, increasing 66% compared to first quarter 2014.
- Cocoa and chocolate business area grew 15% up to €87.3M sales during the first quarter. Growth in both volumes (6%) and in prices, coupled with improved efficiency led to an increase in EBITDA up to €4.52M, a 66% increase compared to first quarter 2014.
- Once NatraceuUcal merged Laboratorios Reig Jofre, it is no longer a fully consolidated company. In the first quarter of 2014, sales contributed by NatraceuUcal amounted €10.1M,with a €2.61M EBITDA. In the first quarter of 2015, Reig Jofre (former NatraceuUcal) contribution amounted € 741,000 as reflected in Results from Associates.
- Natra registered negative results on Q1 2015 and 2014 with a consolidated result of -€2,34 M and - € 1,10 M respectively. Without considering Reig Jofre in both years, net consolidated result for 2015 would be €-3,08 M compared with -€3,62 M in 2014.
